    La Catedral de Santa María y su espectacular y armonioso claustro gótico, el Museo de Navarra en el que se conservan valiosos ejemplos del arte navarro de todos los tiempos, el Archivo General, la iglesia de San Saturnino o el Ayuntamiento, de fachada barroca, son sólo un pequeño ejemplo de los grandes edificios que encontrará a su paso.

     

    Muy cerca del Ayuntamiento y de su plaza, que cada 6 de julio se tiñe de blanco y rojo para recibir las fiestas de San Fermín, se encuentra la plaza del Castillo, un gran trapezoide irregular protegido en su perímetro por viviendas porticadas, auténtico corazón de Pamplona. Acomódese en uno de sus bancos o terrazas y siéntase como en casa.

     

    Tras un breve descanso, continúe su recorrido por estrechas y castizas calles como Zapatería, San Antón, San Nicolás, Estafeta o Mayor, flanqueadas por palacios dieciochescos y hermosas mansiones barrocas, en ocasiones animadas por titiriteros, músicos y artistas callejeros, y llenas de coquetos comercios, algunos con más de 100 años de historia.

     

    La visita será incompleta si no repone fuerzas en alguna de las muchas tascas en las que los pamploneses todavía mantienen la tradición de tomarse un pincho y un buen vino de la tierra mientras comentan los asuntos de la ciudad. Y si lo que prefiere es saborear la rica gastronomía navarra, Pamplona ofrece en sus restaurantes lo mejor de la cocina tradicional junto a las nuevas tendencias culinarias

     

    Para comer el sabado te recomendaría El Hotel Puerta del Camino de Santiago. Hoy lo he conocido, tiene un menu por 23 euros con muy buena pinta. Restaurante LA CAPILLA. No lo he probado, pero me ha parecido muy original. :thumbsup: Estaréis en pleno casco antiguo, muy recomendable... Llama antes y reserva, aí como preguntar por el menu de finde.

    En el VW Polo "de batalla" llevo desde ayer montados unos Vredestain Quatrac 3 de los que he oido hablar bien.

     

    VREDESTAIN QUATRAC 3

     

    El caso es que al estar de oferta salian mejor que unos M+S PUROS y DUROS, con la ventaja de no tener que cambiar en verano y dejarlos todo el año puesto (unos 4.500 km año calculo).

     

    El tío Google los pone bien y regular

    LEgalmente son M+S, pero uno de los flancos -el exterior- es de carretera.

     

    Pero si, como es mi idea empiezo a usarlo más para los puertos del norte con mucha nieve, no se yo como irá.....

    a mi me pasa igual voy a subir al norte a buscaR LA NIEVE CON LA FAMILIA EN MI ALLROAD y tengo que comprar cadenas ,para las 4 ruedas o montar neumaticos de invierno mi medida es la original 225.55.17

    a las fundas esas que son mas faciles de poner ...

    lo gozaras pero si solo es para unos días, pilla unas fundas. Un quattro con ruedas de verano y fundas v de vicio.

     

    De hecho, un quattro con ruedas de verano va de vicio en muchas circunstancias -yo no tuve el menor problema en su día hasta con 60 cm de nieve en la calzada. :laugh:

    Antes de nada, decir que disfruto leyendo aunque no entienda mucho, pero me han pasado ALGO que pudiera ser el contrapunto al artículo que mencionas, es de Jim O’Neill, chairman de GS Asset Management y ex jefe global de Research:

    EMU. WILL IT SURVIVE?

    European Monetary Union (EMU) will probably survive, but it is likely to remain very messy. And, it might stay way for some time. I devoted last week’s Viewpoints to the topic of EMU, so I won’t bore you with a repeat, but let’s just focus on a couple of aspects.

     

    Firstly, while everyone remains fixated with the level of debt and deficits, in my judgment the key issues are the governance of EMU and the leadership of it. If Germany and, to a lesser degree France, want to support all the current members and demonstrate their clear belief of this, then the debt and deficits can be resolved. While the numbers for Greece, Ireland and Portugal are all very large with respect to their own GDP, compared to the amount of investable savings out there, the debt and deficit numbers are really not all that large. For example, while Greece has debt-to-GDP of 115 pct, Greece represents less than 3 pct of the Euro area. One of the themes of the week has been “if it gets to Spain, then the EMU is finished because their debt is just too much for Europe to handle.” Spain’s debt- to- GDP is about 53 pct according to Goldman Sachs Global Investment Research, but this is only about 5.3 pct of the Euro area’s GDP. By comparison, the US debt level is around 80 pct of US GDP. And, it is similar for the Euro area as a whole. Just as the US has no problem supporting its debt – at least for now, then at some stage, if all Europe’s leaders put their minds to it, neither will they. The next few weeks, and perhaps beyond, will be all about how Germany is going to continue to support EMU and at what price. The question of whether or not German will support the EMU is not really the main question, it is at what price.

     

    Secondly, fear and greed are very close cousins. In a world of remarkably low government bond yields, it is currently fashionable to believe that no sensible investor would ever dream of owning a government bond of one of Europe’s troubled countries. This is despite the fact many of them now offer what devoted bond investors can scarcely find, decent real yields. Nonetheless, we have to be careful of fads. If Europe’s leaders, and especially Germany, get behind the EMU, then these yields will be chased as they might suddenly appear to be the most tempting thing in the bond world. I don’t suggest it is going to happen tomorrow. It might get quite a bit worse, before it gets better but it will.
