The test is a nonsense but not to the extreme that you will think, in this week's AUTOEXPRESS they tested 20 fun cars of the moment on both track and road and surprise, surprise the S5 and M5 were side by side, finishing 17th and 16th respectively and though the M5 finished ahead of the Audi they said that when the straw poll of cars in the test was revealed among the testers it was the S5 which most of them wanted for the long journey home.

 

But back to the track, surprisingly the Audi was only 1.3s slower around the Anglesey Race Circuit of which I have provided the layout of the track.

The track in question I believe was the National which you will see combines hairpin, long fast corners and two longish straights which would allow the M5 to get in to it's stride so in reality the S5 is out cornering the big Beemer. Oh by the way, the order of times at the track are as follows

 

1st Porsche GT3RS - 61.6s

2nd Lotus 2-ELEVEN - 62.0s

3rd Audi R8 - 63.0s (manual with MagneticRide)

4th BMW M5 - 65.5s

5th Porsche Cayman S - 66.5s

6th Audi S5 - 66.8s

7th Nissan 350Z - 67.1s

8th Mercedes CL63amg - 67.2s

9th Vauxhall VRX8 - 67.5s

10th Megane F1 Team R26 - 68.2s

 

The real surprise was the little difference between the Cayman S and the S5, both are near identical in acceleration so they were basically cornering around the track at the same speed, amazing when you consider that the Cayman was vote best overall.

Me da a mi que esto muy creíble no es, ya que se supone que el motor del S5 como el bastidor es mejor que el de un S4, y que haga mejor tiempo el S4 me da que poco creíble este tiempo del S5 que han dado.

Que gracioso ahora que he visto los tiempos y el enlace me parto, porque no pusiste TODOS, ya que hay tiempos de M5, M3 y 335i peores que el de único S5 que por el momento se ha metido en este circuito, y como comprenderás depende del piloto, tráfico y muchas circunstancías.

 

Si lo coge un buen piloto puede bajar ese tiempo y que diremos entonces.

 

Por esta regla de tres que aplicas que decimos de los M3, 335i y M5 que hacen peores tiempos que el S5 que el M3, M5 o 335i son peores coches.

 

Y lo querias elevar a dato fiable, en fin.

 

Cuando metan varios S5 por varias personas ya hablaremos entonces.

Va tios dejad de darle mas vuelta al tema, todos sabemos que Neverminds no se compra un S5 para ir de piques por la autopista y si entra en circuito que no lo se porque tampoco le conozco, no creo que le importe q le saque una milesima de segundo un M3 o un seat panda (esto segundo seria preocupante ) porque igualmente estaras disfrutando de un carrazo. En definitiva hay gente que prefiere un traccion trasera, otra que prefiere un quattro, otra que prefiere un diesel que no consuma, etc. Resumiendo los coches son como la cocacola: PARA TODOS y cada uno se decanta mas hacia un lado o hacia el otro segun lo que busque por eso aunque a mi me guste la trasera del M3 mi padre seguira diciendome que parece un coche del "to fast too furious 5"

 

 

 

PD: Dejaros de tiempecitos y disfrutad mas el momento cuando esteis montados en vuestros coches que al fin y al cabo es lo que importa!!! Ademas siempre habra algun coche mas rapido y sino se inventara asi que lo dicho... ENJOY IT!!
