Ex-DTM-Audi wins Long Distance Race in Brazil

DTM-cars have a long life span: The ex-Laurent Aiello Audi TT-R won on Tuesday the “1000 Miles of Interlagos“ in Brazil. Xandy Negrão, Xandynho Negrão, Guto Negrão and Giuliano Losacco needed 11:14:49.929 hours for the 374 laps on the Grand Prix-Circuit “Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace“ near the Brazilian metropolis of São Paulo. During changeable conditions the local heroes managed an average speed of 143.29 km/h with their Audi TT-R. Ex-DTM-driver Uwe Alzen was also part of the fray in his Saleen, but had to retire just after two thirds of the distance with a technical malfunction. “Even though I did not know any of my competitors before the event I am aware now that they are really good racers“, said Alzen admiringly.
